Exhibition “Building with Africa”

The Majorcan Demarcation of the Official College of Architects of the Balearic Islands, organizes the exhibition “Building with Africa”, exhibition of studies, architecture and landscape projects within the framework of durable development and the participation of the African population, which is opening on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 20:00 pm in the exhibition hall of the headquarters of COAIB

The material in this exhibition (drawings, models, pictures, etc.) has been assigned by the architects Lluís Gene, Xavi Llabrés, Xesca Femenías, Aina Tugores and David Garcia who worked on architectural and cooperation solidary projects in different areas of Africa (Cameroon, Senegal and Mali):

Lluís Gené: “Rethinking the heart of Ndjoré” / expansion of two classrooms in the public school of Ndjoré II, in Cameroon. The work was carried out between July and December 2015.

Xesca Femenias: “Studies on the African heritage: Bandiagara fault, Dogon (Mali)” and “Analysis, interpretation and projection of cultural landscapes as engines of development in the context of low or hypo development”.

Xavi Llabrés: Participated in the “Rehabilitation of l`École Maternelle to Kabrousse” in Senegal, between January and early December 2015.

The exhibition will be open until 18 November, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 hours.
