When: 15-17 May, 2018
Where: Abuja International Convention Centre, Abuja, Nigeria
International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Mining and Building Material Machines
Following the success of its inaugural edition in June of 2017, ConMin West Africa 2018 is expected to grow in size with over 50 exhibiting companies and up to 2,000 visitors. The show will aim to showcase an extensive cross section of the rapidly growing construction machinery and mining industry within the region.
As one of the largest economies in Africa with a GDP of $521.8 billion, a figure that is also expected to rise by 2030, makes it one of the world’s top 20 economies. With 160 million people and a growing middle class, the local construction market is investing heavily in various projects in the construction industry. In addition to this, the Nigerian Government is placing a key focus on developing industries outside of the oil sector, one of which has been named as the mining industry. The market recently experienced a boost following an exemption in customs duties for mining and construction equipment.
“We are looking forward to welcoming many new exhibitors alongside those who exhibited in 2017 to the next edition in May. Our aim this year is to build on our, already successful exhibition, by bringing more exhibitors into the fold and providing further rich content for our visitors” George Pearson, Regional Director, ConMin West Africa.
